1 pound ground turkey
1 tall can salmon
1/2 - 1 c dry oatmeal
1/2 - 3/4 c Prego tomato sauce
1/4 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1 T garlic powder
1/4 c dehydrated onion flakes
1 T paprika
1/2 T dry mustard
1/8 c water
3-4 carrots, peeled and cut into thirds (or 1/2 c baby carrots)
Open salmon and drain the oil into a dish. Set oil aside. Mix salmon and ground turkey together, being sure to completely break up chunks of salmon. Add eggs and spices. Mix thoroughly, then add tomato sauce and oats. Form mixture into a small loaf (fits diagonally into 8 inch square baking pan). Be sure to spray the pan before placing loaf in. Once the loaf is in, put the carrots in the open corners. Pour about 2 T of the reserved fish oil over the carrots, then do the same with the water. Cover pan with aluminum foil & bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 20 minutes. Makes about 8 servings.
